CBSE Class 10 Term 2 exams are underway. Students who have been preparing for CBSE Class 10 term 2 are now giving the final touches to their preparation and revision before the exam.

This is the best time to practice more and more questions to get hold of the subject before the exam.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which is a national level board of education for public and private schools has changed the way they usually used to take the Class 10 board exam due to the pandemic and innovations of NEP 2020.

The changes by the CBSE include the division of curriculum into two Terms, the pattern of which varies from each Term:

1. While in Term 1 the questions asked were case-based MCQs and MCQs on reasoning types which students had to answer in 90 minutes.

The marks scored by a student in Term 1 the result of which is already announced will be added to their total grade.

2. The CBSE Class 10 Term 2 exams will be 2 hours long, and the questions included in Term 2 will be case-based, situation-based, open-ended, short-answer, and long-response type questions.

CBSE Class 10 Term 2 is the first exam after the pandemic which is being conducted in pen and paper-based mode.

Students preparing for the CBSE Class 10th board examination must cover the entire 50% rationalized CBSE 10 syllabus well in time. They should keep at least a couple of days reserved for their revision.

During the revision, students must attempt as many questions from question banks. It will help them get complete knowledge about the types of questions that will be asked.

Also, note how much time you are spending on each question so as to plan your strategy for each question.

Question banks are going to be very useful for students who are preparing for their CBSE Class 10 Term 2 board exams. As a question bank is a collection of all questions, those questions are according to the updated pattern.

You will get a fair idea of the exam pattern and the type of questions that will be asked in the updated Term 2 board exam. As per the new pattern, there will be more emphasis on competency-based questions and less focus on rote-learning, as instructed by the New Education Policy.

Here are a few CBSE Class 10 tips which the students can follow to secure good marks in the Term 2 examinations:

1. Many students feel nervous by the name of CBSE Class 10 board exams which is quite apparent, but approaching the exam with the right attitude will take away the stress.

Presentation of the answer is the key aspect of pen and paper mode examination and students must attempt the exam in such a way that not only impresses the teacher checking it but also makes your answer sheet easier to read. Solving questions banks can be of great help.

2. While preparing the important questions from the important topics and chapters, students should also know the marks’ weight-age CBSE Class 10 subjects.

Students should know the overall bifurcation of marks in each subject or topic to approach the important questions for Class 10 in a better way to score good marks.

3. Mathematics plays an integral part in a student’s academic record, especially if they are taking their board exams in Class 10. Therefore, students must approach these exams with greater focus.

Scoring good marks in mathematics will also help you in getting the Science stream, especially to those who wish to pursue a career in engineering and medicine.

Mathematics as a subject demands continuous practice so you must solve as many questions from the question bank to get a great hold on the subjects.

A strong academic record in Mathematics also guarantees a smooth preparation for entrance examinations and admissions to top colleges after CBSE Class 10 exam.

4. Similarly, Science combines three subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology- and needs thorough preparation before appearing for the exam.

The questions and answers available in the question bank will surely help students strengthen their knowledge of concepts and increase their confidence in taking the exams.

The question banks increase the chances of scoring higher grades in the science exam.

5. And the most important of all tips is that on these last days of preparation leading to the CBSE Class 10 term 2 exam students should not exert too much pressure on themselves or study at the odd hours.

You must keep following the same routine which you were following earlier. The last-minute changes in preparation tactics or effort to give more time in preparation will only exhaust you before the exam and will have an indirect adverse effect on the outcome of the exam.

At this moment you need to trust your preparation and practice and go to the exam hall with the confidence and momentum you have built in the past few months. This is not the time to experiment but the time to execute.

7 Importance of CBSE Class 10 Question Bank for the session 2022-23

1. Question Banks can be the most effective tool to know the exam pattern, details about the type of questions, the number of questions, duration of the exam, marking scheme, and sections covered among others in CBSE Class 10 exam.

Students are suggested to attempt as many questions from the question bank as they can.

2. Question Banks will make you aware of your preparation level. Checking the number of attempted questions versus the marks you obtained, how well your preparation is and will help you to identify the weak areas. Students can then revisit weaker areas to improve their scores in CBSE Class 10.

3. Question Banks puts your problem-solving speed to the test with questions. Speed is very important in CBSE Class 10 new pattern; if you attempt the most number of questions within less time your chances of scoring more will also increase.

By attempting more and more question banks you can improve your problem-solving speed.

4. How you approach a problem is very important to save time. Question bank improves your problem-solving technique and polishes your strategy to write the answers in the best way possible well within time.

It will also help you to make the best use of the time allotted before starting writing the CBSE Class 10 exam. By solving question banks you should be able to allocate your time equally with the aim to attempt all questions within the stipulated time.

5. Question Banks can help you focus more on topics and questions with more weightage, and this will help in your preparations and boost your overall confidence to take on CBSE Class 10.

6. Question Banks are effective in getting an in-depth analysis of questions, such as when a question was last asked or its difficulty level. This will help students steer their preparation to certain areas for the CBSE Class 10 exam.

7. By solving the Question Bank, students will be able to relate how the examiner tries to cover all the important topics and understands how an examiner organizes the question paper and prioritizes certain subjects from the entire syllabus.

This understanding will help you to plan better and score more marks in the CBSE Class 10 exams.
