NEET UG 2022 is set to take place on July 17, and candidates have expressed concerns about the lack of preparation time.

Several medical hopefuls across India are requesting that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) be postponed, citing the current dates as a source of stress.

On July 17, all around India, the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Undergraduates will be administered in pen and paper format.

Since the UG medical entrance assessment was previously held in September, it would now be conducted in July this term. The NEET-UG application process is now open on the official website.

To learn more about the social media trend on NEET 2022, read the article. Is the examination postponed or not?

What does the deferment front report in the letter?

Only around three months of preparation are left as per NEET-UG 2022 Exemption Committee released brochure. "Delaying NEET-UG 2022 would enable aspirants to be more confident in completing the test," the statement wrote on the top of the petition letter.

Many candidates are concerned as a response to continuous competitive examinations. The CUET assessments are supposed to take place in the first and second weeks of July.

The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) would be conducted for the second attempt following three days of NEET. The EAMCET examinations, which will be held on July 14, 15, 18, 19, and 20, will be performed in conjunction with the NEET final exam.

On September 12, 2021, the NEET exam was conducted by NTA, and the scores were revealed on November 1. However, due to the current EWS quota lawsuit at the Supreme Court, the counseling was extended for more than 6 months.

Otherwise, as is customary, NEET UG counseling would have taken two or three months to complete.

The NEET 2022 exam will be held on July 17, while the NEET UG 2021 counseling was just finished in the first week of April. In some states, counseling for courses like BAMS and BDS is still available.

The students in the boundary zone would have to wait again for the mop-up session. The NEET-UG 2022 Exemption Committee claimed in the statement that candidates are unsure whether they should practice for NEET or additional examinations because several tests overlap with NEET.

"Students have experienced mental hurdles as a result of the unexpected drop in preparatory hours without advance notice," it stated.

Students are being held back from taking the NEET exam for a variety of reasons

Some students want the NEET UG 2022 exam to take place in August. Following online protests on Twitter, some students have established an online petition to have the exam postponed.

Syed Tousif, a NEET-UG aspirant, stated, "Only a few days ago, counseling was concluded, and I almost missed out on a seat by a few marks. At the very least, I'd like additional time to prepare."

"A modest scheme was put in place to the exam committee on behalf of students, that is, students are seeking  for a few additional days to learn adequately, and our petition is 100% legitimate this session; the postponement in 2021 counseling was not our proximate cause," said Ayush Anand, a NEET-UG candidate.

We're under a lot of stress and strain since we don't have enough time to study for the exam that will define our future," the online petition says. The online petition has already received over 1000 signatures in support of the cause since it was started.

The applicants also highlighted their frustration with the NBE's allocation of insufficient time off between the NEET PG 2021 counseling and the NEET PG 2022 test in their letter.

NMC regulation states that the time phase between the conclusion of one counseling process and the commencement of the following exam phase must be adequate,”

This year, however, all India counseling will be done by May 3, 2022, and state counseling will begin shortly after that, possibly lasting until the middle or end of the month.

The exam will be held on May 21, just a few days after All India counseling. It appears to be unfair. The letter also mentioned that the national medical center has not been compromised with procrastination of exams since the timetable was set to be phased in August.

"NEET-UG 2021 admission process was just rounded in April, and NEET-UG 2022 counseling is revised to progress in July. Within just 3 months, how will we still be ready to study such a big curriculum? In addition, other major tests such as the Board Exams, CUCET, and JEE Mains are scheduled at the same time. Imagine the stress and anxiety that all of these important exams, one after the other, are causing us as students! Is this a reasonable decision?" the online petition asks.

“The NEET-UG 2021 end admission process was protracted till March 16, 2022, by the Medical Counseling Committee and it is already concluded. And now NTA said that NEET-UG is scheduled to be in July. In NEET 2022, we'll need a little more time to get back on track. If NEET is postponed by a month, it will not affect the counseling procedure in 2022 "Chitra, another contender stated. Parents, as well as hopefuls, have expressed their concerns.

They are unclear whether to attend the admission process or study for the test because of the 'inadequate time gap' between the two.

The report also concluded that the MCC has reformed the scholastic prospectus around seven times in the existing system, but the federal and national mop-up events have already been revised.

The pupils questioned aloud, "How can someone possibly prepare along with all the ambiguities caused by such exam institutions?"

Wrapping up

Medical aspirants throughout India are requesting an extension of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) given the current schedules generating a great deal of pressure.

NEET UG 2022 should take place in August, according to NTA. Following a succession of digital protests, a bunch of students have created the above-mentioned online petition for postponement.

Many students have gone to social media to request that the NEET UG be postponed due to a lack of preparation time. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has yet to remark on the exam's postponement.

Candidates are recommended to begin preparing for NEET 2022 as soon as possible and to keep a close check on the NTA's official website for the most up-to-date information and changes.
