The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is a newly formed central multi-agency body that will be in charge of administering a NRA CET 2022 - Common Eligibility Test, for the Staff Selection Commission, IBPS, and Indian Railways' Tier-I screening of non-gazetted Group B and Group C positions.
The NRA was founded on August 19, 2020. It will be registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. It will have six regional offices in the East, West, South, North, Central, and North-East, with its headquarters in New Delhi.
The seven functional divisions will include the Controller of Examinations, IEC, Strategic Directions, Administration, Finance and Research, IT Solutions, and Content Development.
The National Recruitment Agency was founded by the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, to conduct the Common Eligibility Test. Candidates will now only have to take one exam.
NRA members would be selected from participating recruiting agencies including IBPS, RRB, and SSC, as well as central government organizations like the Railway and Finance Ministries.
The National Recruitment Agency was created to assist the Central Government in hiring for various verticals by providing a solid technical foundation and best practices.
NRA Common Eligibility Test 2022
The Ministry of Personnel and Public Grievances has proposed that the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) be established to administer the screening examination known as the common eligibility test (CET) for multiple exams previously administered by SSC, IBPS, and RRB. In a number of SSC, RRB, and IBPS exams, the National Recruitment Agency's Common Eligibility Test will replace the screening paper.
The Common Eligibility Test (CET) would be held in early 2022 to shortlist candidates for primary government positions, according to Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh.
The NRA Common Eligibility Test (NRA CET) is a screening test that the newly recognized NRA will administer. It will be used to shortlist candidates for Group B and C non-technical and non-gazetted positions.
A candidate will only have to prepare for one single entrance exam (Tier 1 or Prelims) for a variety of government exams, including Bank, SSC, and Railways, thanks to the Common Eligibility Test, saving time, effort, and stress.
As stated above, the NRA will conduct the screening test for the following exams. All of these tests will be given on a standardized basis twice a year.
Questions from the following sections will be included (as expected) in the written exam:
1. Intelligence and general reasoning
2. Quantitative Aptitude
3. General awareness
4. Language (English, Hindi, etc.)
Questions from four subjects will be included in the NRA CET exam: general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude, and language (English, Hindi, etc.).
