General

The minimum age limit for the general category students applying for UPSC exams is 21 years, while the maximum age limit is 32 years.

OBC

The minimum age limit for OBC category is 21 years and maximum age limit is 35 years.

SC/ST

The minimum age limit for SC/ST students is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 37 years.

PwBD

The maximum age limit for PwBD students is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 42 years.

Age Limit Relaxation For SC/ST, OBC, PwBD

  • For the people of SC or ST category the age limit relaxation is for 5 years.
  • For the people of OBC category the age limit relaxation is for 3 years.
  • In case you are a defense service personnel injured in combat in a disturbed area or a hostile foreign country then the age limit relaxation is for maximum 3 years.
  • For applicants who are ex-servicemen, SSCO/ECO or commissioned officers, having served in the military for 5 years, the age relaxation limit is 5 years.
  • For PwBD category candidates the age relaxation limit is 10 years.
