The National Testing Agency (NTA) has formed an expert advisory committee to establish an uniform syllabus and design for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) in 2022.

The whole NRA CET syllabus and exam pattern will be made public after the expert group's suggestion is finalized.

For a number of non-gazetted positions in Central Government organizations, the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is prepared to administer the Common Eligibility Test (CET).

The establishment of the NRA was announced in the 2020-21 budget.

The NRA CET will be used to screen/shortlist candidates for certain kinds of Central Government jobs that are filled by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) (IBPS).

Based on their CET results, candidates will be considered for the next steps of the screening process. The ultimate selection will be made using separate exams offered by the various recruitment organizations.

The NRA CET will be held twice a year, and the results will be good for three years. Candidates can take the Common Eligibility Test again every year in order to enhance their scores.

Based on their score, applicants can apply for positions in banking, the SSC, and the railways. Preliminary/tier 1 exams will no longer be given by SSC, IBPS, or RRBs.

There will be at least one NRA CET exam center in every district across the country. Two centers will be located in the Ladakh district. If there is only one screening examination, candidates will spend less time applying for and taking several prelims/tier 1 exams.

The National Recruitment Agency - Common Eligibility Test highlights the following features:

1. For candidates with a 10th, 12th, or graduate pass, NRA will deploy three CET level exams with differing levels of difficulty to simplify recruiting for vacancies at various levels while maintaining the exam's difficulty level according to the candidate's qualification.

2. Another notable change proposed is that the CET test will be administered in 12 major Indian languages, including English and Hindi, with the number of languages eventually expanding to allow people from all over the country to participate.

3. The Railway Recruitment Board, the Staff Selection Commission, and the Institute of Banking Personnel will be the first three central government entities to take the NRA CET exam. Later, more agencies will be added.

4. All candidates will receive an NRA CET score, which will be valid for three years. Candidates must apply individually to SSC, IBPS, and RRBs for higher-level assessments like as Tier-2, Tier-3, Interview, Physical Test, and so on after passing the test.
