CUET is an entrance test that is required for admission to several programmes provided by Central Universities in India.

There are 14 Central Universities that administer the CUET, which is a combined exam for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and integrated courses.

The Central Universities Common Entrance Test is considered simple to moderate in terms of its challenge level by many test-takers.

How many times CUET will be held every year?

Students who want to attend college in 2023 will have to take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which will be held twice each year.

Students who want to apply to Central Universities and other Indian universities will be able to take the CUET test again, according to the sources.

NTA is now going to hold the CUET twice in a year to give students optimism and a better chance.

CUET will continue to be based on the class 12 syllabus, although NTA has not yet specified what changes would be made to the test starting next year.

Students may now register for CUET 2022 at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The application deadline for the CUET UG programme is May 6, 2022.

The CUET 2022 test for UG admission is scheduled to be held between the final week of May and the first week of June, and the first or second week of July is expected to follow.

Details About CUET Exam

As a result, the NTA has announced that it would hold the CUET twice to provide students with more hope and opportunity.

In terms of CUET, NTA has not yet stated what modifications may be expected for the upcoming year; nonetheless, the test will still be based on the syllabus for class 12.

Students may now register for CUET 2022 at  https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/. There is a May 6, 2022, deadline for CUET UG admissions applications.

As outlined in the National Education Policy 2020, the idea of a central university entrance test (CUET) is not new.

In 2010, it was initially used to fill 1,500 places in undergraduate, postgraduate, and integrated courses at seven key institutions.

Up till the academic year 2021-22, 12 Central Universities, such as Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, and Haryana, among others, have already taken admissions via CUET. The CUET test is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

A few well-known private institutions have expressed an interest in using CUET scores for undergraduate admissions. Therefore, the CUET will no longer be restricted to just central universities.

Advantages of CUET

1. Board marks won't play a big role in CUET's admissions process.

2. Students won’t have to pay multiple fees for different universities.

3. It levels the field for all students of state boards or CBSE or CISCE.

4. No need to appear in multiple exams of different universities.

Process of CUET

In the test, there are three sections: one for the language, one for the specialized field of study, and one for general text which further includes 3 parts - General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical reasoning.

Section 1A has 13 language papers, while Section 1B has 19 language papers, making up the Language Section. To graduate in a specific language, students must take paper 1B in language.

There is no limit to the number of languages a student can select from sections 1A and 1B, but they must be taken concurrently.

Subjects in the domain-specific section number 27 and students are limited to selecting no more than six.

If a student wants to take a topic that isn't on the domain list, they can pick one that is extremely closely connected to the domain list.

The topic of biology may be chosen by a student who is applying for a position in biotechnology. There will be NCERT-based domain-specific questions.

There will be questions on general knowledge, current events, general mental aptitude, quantitative reasoning, and logical and analytical thinking on the General exam.

If preferred colleges have specific prerequisites, then the selection of possibilities from each area is not required.

Students are encouraged to opt for only those languages and courses that they learned in high school. Although CUET allows freedom to opt for any other language, if the university permits.

Students are urged to routinely visit the websites of the colleges to which they want to get admission to stay on top of any changes.

Instead of stressing rote memorization, the universal admission exam for all colleges will encourage students to improve their critical thinking skills instead.

This would also put students from diverse boards on the same footing, as there is no uniformity in giving 12th marks across different boards, there is always a type of prejudice based on 12th marks, and it doesn't offer an equal chance to kids seeking admission in all famous universities.

Where to Register?

A single-window platform for admissions will also be provided by CUET, which eliminates entrance tests for numerous colleges with differing levels of difficulty, making the process more efficient and student-friendly.

Candidates will also save time, effort, and money by not having to pay for several entrance exam costs at the same time.

All the universities appear to be welcoming the single admission. Rather than cramming the curriculum, it focuses more on conceptual comprehension, critical thinking, comprehensive abilities, and decision-making ability.

Students, colleges and institutions, and the education system will benefit from this reform process since it provides "considerable impartiality" in the admissions process and "equitable opportunity" for candidates to appear in a single national examination.

Students should monitor the official NTA CUET (UG)-2022 websitehttps://cuet.samarth.ac.in, on a regular basis for exam-related information and changes.
