ICSE and ISC Board Results Out: What Next?

CISCE declared the ICSE and ISC Board exam results on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Students who appeared in the exam can check their results at cisce.org and results.cisce.org. If they face any issues in checking the results on these sites, they can check it on DigiLocker. The ICSE exams were held from Feb 18 to March 27, while the ISC exams were conducted between Feb 13 and April 5.


Steps to check the ICSE/ISC results online

  • Go to cisce.org or results.cisce.org and click on the ICSE/ISC Result 2025 link

  • Enter the UID, index number, and captcha code

  • Click on the “ option to check your score and download your mark sheet

How to download documents through DigiLocker?

Students can also access their digitally signed marksheet and pass certificate through DigiLocker. They just need to log in using their registered mobile number and credentials linked to their Aadhaar card. Then, they need to head to the “issued documents” section. Finally, they must look for their mark sheet and document to download them.

Rechecking the Answer Scripts

If students aren’t satisfied with their marks and want answer scripts to be re-evaluated, they can apply for it. The rechecking window was activated on April 30 and will be active until May 4, 2025. The updated results will be available within 2-3 weeks after the re-evaluation window closes. The result will be reissued if there’s any change and the mark sheet will be updated accordingly.

👉 Go to the ‘Student’ section

👉 Click on ‘Apply for Recheck’

👉 Choose the subject or subjects to be rechecked

👉 Make the payment (Fee: Approx. Rs. 1000 per subject)

Stream to choose after the result declaration

After the result declaration, students need to decide which stream they must choose for further studies. What they want to pursue after class 10th or 12th depends on their interest and career aspirations. Let’s check out the options they can choose from.

After 10th

Students mainly choose one of the following streams:

After 12th

Students choose to specialise in a particular subject and decide their career. The common options available to them are as follows:  

B.Sc.

A B.Sc. degree allows students to become research scientists, data scientists, technicians, etc. They can even try to make a career in fields like forensic science and journalism, depending on their BSc specialisation.

B.Com.

A B.Com. course opens doors to opportunities in finance roles like accounting and banking. Besides, they can also go for more specialized fields like financial analysis, tax consulting, etc.

BBA

Students can build a career in finance, marketing, human resources, and operations after completing a degree in BBA. Some popular roles in the field include financial analyst, marketing executive, HR manager, and operations manager.

B.A

Students can get into teaching, digital marketing, journalism, etc., after completing their BA degree. They can also make a career in the creative fields, like content writing, public relations, or graphic design, based on their interest and specialization.

Entrance Exam Preparation

Students can also prepare for entrance exams like JEE, NEET, CLAT, etc., after 12th. This helps them get admission into reputed institutes and shape their future.

Conclusion

The ICSE/ISC results play a major role in determining the upcoming plans of the student. But it’s not the end of their studies and career. In case their scores aren’t close to their expectations, they should take it as a lesson and move ahead. There are several scopes for improvement later.
