If you aspire to study at Delhi University, you must apply for CUET. In early April 2022, the university announced that it would not be accepting students on a merit basis alone.

In the past, DU relied on cut-offs to select its students for admission. However, from this year onwards, the universities' colleges will only accept students through the results of this entrance exam alone.

If you want to study at DU, you will need information on CUET exams. If that’s what you’re looking for, then this is the post for you.

What is the CUET exam?

CUET is short for Central Universities Common Entrance Test. This exam was known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test.

This test is conducted by National Testing Agency and is accepted in many colleges all over the country. CUET helps candidates join programs for Undergraduate, integrated courses, and even master’s courses.

DU has announced that it will consider the results of the CUET exam and the exam results of the boards, unlike its previous admission policy.

What to know about CUET Exam for DU Admissions?

DU has released information on how to prepare for admissions. The university stated that it would accept students who:

1. Take the CUET exam.

2. Score 30% (at least) in Section one, a language-based section.

3. Section one is compulsory, and candidates must choose one language in the section to be considered.

4. Section two is for domain-specific subjects. Students are required to select three subjects and a maximum of six subjects.

5. Section three is for general knowledge.

i) For B.Sc applicants, the students must select their subjects as Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, or Biology.

ii) Students should select subjects they have studied for their boards, and they cannot choose other subjects.

However, the subjects can be changed after the e-counseling session. The session will be conducted by the university only after the first step, which is appearing for the test, is over.
