The CBSE Class 7 exams cater to a very crucial stage in the life of a student. Although every student gives his or her best in the entire academic year, there are some general mistakes that inhibit such efforts. In this blog, we will discuss the top five mistakes to avoid while preparing for the CBSE Class 7 2024 exams.

1. Lack of a Proper Study Plan

One can confidently tell you that having no study timetable is one of the major blunders students tend to make. Whenever you put a very comprehensive time table in place, you will also include the time needed to cover the Class 7 books of each subject. From here, students will be clear as to why no subject will be skipped and each one assessed in the required amount.

It is vital to plan undertaking a series of such sessions, particularly for the subject attrition like Social Science. Make notes of all important topics and dates and follow a timetable for all subjects, do not forget to keep the 7th social science book in your defence during these sessions.

2. Disregarding Core Subjects – Social Science and General Knowledge

Another blunder that is often committed is the disregard of topics like General Knowledge (GK) and Social Science. In this case, Science and Maths are the subjects in which the concentration is substantially placed, leaving out Social Science and GK, arguing that they are simple and can be done at the last moment. Similarly, for GK, the class 7 GK book will help you in participating in general awareness topics as revenge is best served cool.

3. Over Dependent upon the Guides and Reference Class 7 Books

Using reference Class 7 books and guides can be of assistance, but making a habit of constantly referring to them is incorrect.  The primary area of focus should always be the syllabus as given in the school books. For example, please be able to read the 7 class English book fully before referring to any reference materials. School books are appreciated because they bring out all the important subjects in a succinct and accurate figure, which is pivotal to success in exams.

4. Surrendering Past Year Papers and Sample Papers for More Research

One of the most important parts of the exam preparation process is, of course, attempting past and sample papers. That is why students tend to shy away from this because they feel that as long as they are reading the 7 class English book, class 7 GK book and other textbooks, that will be sufficient. However, working on past papers helps in knowing the structure of the paper and also the common type of questions that are asked.

5. Ignoring Revision and Self-Assessment

One last mistake that the students tend to make is ignoring revision quite a lot. For instance, no matter how well you study from your class 7 books, without revision some concepts are likely to be forgotten. It is critical to review information if you want to retain it and perform adequately in an examination. Make sure that you revise your subjects over and over again, especially with respect to your class 7 English book, 7th social science book, and other important subjects.

Regularly reviewing the 7th social science book is essential. To clear the exam, refer to this very useful of Social Science.
