National Testing Agency (NTA) has constituted an expert advisory committee to recommend a single syllabus and design for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) in 2022.

Once the expert group makes its proposal, the detailed NRA CET syllabus and exam pattern will be released. Chairman, Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations, Director, and Deputy Secretary are among the NRA officers.

The date and announcement for the NRA CET 2022 exam are scheduled to be issued soon. Previously, the exam was set to commence in early 2022.

The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is preparing to hold a Common Eligibility Test (CET) for non-gazetted positions in Central Government ministries.

The establishment of the NRA was announced in the budget for 2020-21.

Candidates will be screened/shortlisted for certain categories of posts in the Central Government that are filled by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), and Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) using the NRA CET (IBPS).

Candidates will be considered for the next stage of selection based on their CET results. Separate exams, administered by the individual recruitment organizations, will determine the ultimate selection.

The NRA CET will take place twice a year, with the results valid for three years. Every year, candidates can take the Common Eligibility Test to improve their results.

Candidates can apply for numerous banking, SSC, and railway jobs based on their score. Prelims/tier 1 exams conducted by recruitment authorities such as SSC, IBPS, and RRBs would be replaced by the NRA CET.

Each district in the country will have at least one NRA CET exam center. Ladakh district will also have two centers. It will be easier for candidates to apply and appear in numerous prelims/tier 1 exams if there is only one screening examination.
