CUET 2022: The common university entrance test (CUET) is a test conducted for admissions for undergraduate courses in all central universities. It comes under the education policy drafted by the centre.

It is a computerized examination conducted in an online mode. It is all set to be conducted in the first and second week of July. The conducting body of the examination is the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The correction window for the application form is all set to open from 25th May and it will continue till the end of the month. The editing facility is only limited to tests and the number of institutes and universities.

In its maiden year, it has accounted for registration for 9, 14,103 candidates. The CUET 2022 is officially the second biggest entrance examination in India. It is followed by NEET examination which records an average of more than 16 lakh candidates registered every year.
Of all the candidates registered, 44% of the total comprises of female candidates and 47% of the total candidates belong to the unreserved category. The percentage of OBC candidates registered for this examination lies around 32% followed by SC that is 10.3% and after that with 4.6% EWS.

It has surpassed JEE main in terms of number of registrations. JEE mains counts 8.4 to 9 lakh registrations per year. The common university entrance test offers as many as nine subjects to each student, which acts as a common platform for registering in any participating institute.

It is becoming more popular daily among most of the entrances. The approximate cumulative university wise count is around 46.9 lakh.

Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar are the top three states in terms of the number of candidates registered. There are some considerable numbers of registrations from smaller cities in terms of population.

Delhi accounted for over 6 lakh applications, which was followed by Banaras Hindu University, which recorded about 3.9 lakh registrations, and the University of Allahabad, which received about 2.3 lakh registrations.

This examination offers a medium of answering in 13 different languages, which includes Hindi, English, and Bengali, etc. English tops the list with over 6.9 lakh registrations, followed by Hindi (around 2 lakh) and Bengali (7,817).

1 - Understanding the pattern and syllabus is very important because smart study always proves more effective than beating around the bush. It may vary with that of a particular institute and the respective subjects.


2 - Proper time management is a must because the students have to appear for both the board examinations and the entrance examinations. Giving 1-2 hours for board examinations is enough.
