Educational Qualification

The minimum qualification required is a bachelors degree in a recognized university. 

Certain posts are subject to specific qualifications:

  • Assistant Audit Officer: Preferable: CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or M.Com.

  • Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor of degree in Statistics as a subject.

  • Statistical Investigator: Graduation in Statistics/Mathematics.

Students in their final year can apply provided that they complete their degree before document verification.

What is SSC CGL Selection Process 2026?

The SSC CGL selection is done in two stages which are online.

Tier 1 Examination

Tier 1 is qualifying in nature.

  • Total Questions: 100

  • Total Marks: 200

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Subjects: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, General Awareness.

  • Negative Marking: 0.50 marks per wrong answer.

Tier 1 marks are usually applied to shortlist Tier 2 candidates.
