Section-wise Guide: Mental Ability Test (MAT)

The Mental Ability Test (MAT) is one of the three tests in Stage I of the NTSE exam. This test measures a student's ability to think logically and solve problems. Students can use MAT to test their IQ. There are many categories in MAT, such as non-verbal sequences, coding, and decoding, etc. MAT requires more practice than anything else. MAT is one of the most important sections in NTSE. It tests your ability to think logically and solve problems. The questions in this section are designed to test your higher-order thinking skills.

Here are some tips to help you master this section:

1. Understand the question: The first step to solving any problem is understanding it. Make sure you read the question carefully and understand what it is asking you to do.

2. Break down the problem: Once you understand the problem, break it down into smaller parts. This will help you identify the key information and make solving the problem easier.

3. Use a systematic approach: Solving problems requires a systematic approach. Identify the steps you need to take to solve the problem and follow them through until you find a solution.

4. Practice, practice, practice: The best way to improve your problem-solving skills is to practice as much as possible. There are many websites and books that have practice problems for you to work on.
