CBSE Class 1 Syllabus 2026-27
The CBSE Class 1 syllabus for 2026-27 is built on the NEP 2020 Foundational Stage framework, which groups Classes 1 and 2 as part of a five-year foundational stage (ages 3–8). Learning at this level is entirely activity-based, play-driven, and experience-led. There are no board examinations at this stage. Instead, children are assessed continuously through observation, oral tasks, and classroom activities.
All three core NCERT textbooks for Class 1 — Mridang (English), Joyful Mathematics, and Sarangi (Hindi) — are official reprints for the 2026-27 session. Chapter content and sequence remain aligned with the NCF-FS 2022 framework.
