Eye is an optical instrument which is used to seeing the object.

The accommodation of the eye is the ability of the eye to focus on both near and far objects by changing its focal length.

The shortest distance at which the eye can see objects clearly without exertion. It is around 25 cm for a young adult with normal vision.

Short-sightedness (myopia) occurs when the image of distant objects is blurred. The image of distant objects is focused before the retina  adjusted with an appropriate concave lens.

A convex lens of appropriate power is used to correct hypermetropia (far-sightedness )— the picture of adjacent objects is focused beyond the retina).

The eye's ability to accommodate changes with age.

The process of breaking of white light into its component colours is called dispersion.

At the time of sunrise and sunset, Due to scattering of light the sky looks red during the sunrise and sunset and blue at noon .
