UGC NET Paper 1 Syllabus 2026

Paper 1 is mandatory for all candidates, regardless of their chosen subject for Paper 2. It is designed to assess teaching and research aptitude, reasoning ability, and general awareness. UGC NET Paper 2 Syllabus 2026

Paper 2 is subject-specific and tests in-depth knowledge of the discipline chosen by the candidate during the application process. It carries 200 marks (100 questions × 2 marks each), making it the most significant section in determining JRF or Assistant Professor eligibility.
