The CAT Cutoff is the primary percentile requirement discerned by the college for MBA admissions.
The CAT Cutoff varies by institute and is the minimum score required to attain a call for admission from a B School (Business School).
The CAT Exam Cutoff includes both the overall and sectional cutoffs, as some B Schools, such as IIMs, have sectional cut offs that candidates must meet in order to be called for the PI round.
The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will release the CAT 2022 Cut-off on iimcat.ac.in individually following the announcement of the CAT result 2022. The results of the CAT exam 2022 will be announced in the second week of January 2022.
The CAT Exam Cutoff 2022 for IIMs includes both the overall and sectional cutoffs. Following the CAT Exam 2022, exam experts provide a detailed CAT Exam Analysis as well as the expected cutoff.
The minimum CAT cut-offs for all 20 IIMs are announced in order to shortlist candidates for the final selection round. Because the CAT 2022 cutoffs have not yet been announced, candidates can use the previous year's CAT cutoff to estimate the CAT 2022 cutoff.

Types of CAT Exam cutoff
There are basically two kinds of CAT cutoff which are:
1. Qualifying cut-off
2. Final cut-off
Qualifying cut-off
Final cut-off
This is known as IIM eligibility. The cutoff for the IIM shortlist. It is the minimum score required to be considered for an interview call (for the WAT/GD-PI round) from the IIMs.
The minimum score decided by the IIMs for the selection of candidates for the WAT/GD-PI round is referred to as the IIM call cut-offs.
This does not guarantee selection for the WAT/GD-PI round.
Even if the candidate meets the final CAT Cutoff, admission is not guaranteed.
Decided prior to the release of the CAT results.
After the CAT results are announced, a decision will be made.
In their notification, each campus announces the CAT qualifying cutoff.
No official announcement has been made by any IIM or other top MBA institute.
For all IIMs, it usually remains above the 90th percentile.
Maintain a 99+ percentile in all top IIMs and a 95+ percentile in new IIMs.
Sectional and overall cut-offs should be included.
Sectional and overall cut-offs should be included.
Categorically fixed. The CAT Cutoff for candidates from the reserved category is lower than that of the general category.
Male engineering students from the general category have a higher CAT Cutoff than those from the reserved categories.
Female students, as well as those with a non-engineering background, have a lower CAT cutoff.
Factors Affecting CAT Cutoff
The factors that determine the CAT Exam Cutoff are given below:
1. The difficulty level of the CAT exam
2. Number of candidates who appeared for the CAT exam
3. Number of seats available in a particular institute
4. Ranking of the particular institute.
