The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has brought some changes in the curriculum of Class 10, which would be effective from the academic year 2026–27. These changes in the CBSE class 10 syllabus 2026–27 have been introduced as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 that puts more emphasis on understanding concepts rather than rote learning.

The new method makes the students think, analyze, and use their knowledge in day-to-day life. Rather than simply memorizing definitions, there is now an emphasis on knowing how and why things happen.
